hey guys, I know before exercise it's always the right thing to do a short warm up session to get the body ready for stress, but how do you do the same for preparing to get a long day of studying in? how do you maintain focus throughout the day and keep your energy levels up?

thanks guys

if it's the first time i'm looking at the material, i skim through it to preview the topics beforehand.

I put the book and notebook on the table, take a step back, and basically charge into the table. No joke. After a couple of hours I pace the room for a couple of minutes, get something to eat, and repeat.

I usually study after coming back from the gym. I am pretty much buzzed from the NO energy drink for another 4 hours that I can't sleep anyways.

If you seriously want energy, run for a mile, and then stack the following supplements:

I procrastinate for about 10 hours before I actually dive into anything.

The adderall alone should do it.

Adderal - hilarious

Knew kids in Ivy League schools that used to crush and snort this stuff so they could write papers. The dark side of ambition I suppose.

My personal study aid - beer. Not enough to get drunk, but enough to keep me from realizing the 8 million other things I'd rather be doing with my time.

I shadow-box and play eye of the tiger from rocky iv.

I make a list of topics I need to cover with a goal to get a certain number of topics by a certain time. I take a break after each completed goal! I know its silly, but it keeps me motivated

adderall effs me up. no thanks

i procrastinate til i feel pressured into working as well. if available, i eat weed brownies and wait for it to kick in with my books open.. wayyy better than ADD meds.

Get a good nights rest, eat a healthy breakfast, head to the library with a thermos of green tea, take a short lunch break in between studying. That was my routine for six months of MCAT study.

depends on your attention span. once you start drifting off, take a 5 min break: stretch, walk, go to the bathroom, eat a snack. Then go back to it. Make sure you take notes it really helps your memory and no need to highlight things, it doesn't do ****. Always review the material you learned.

You'll be fine -- don't sweat it.

Skim the material. Then get your hands dirty.
