From Hofstra secondary:

Have you ever been subject to any investigations, actions or convictions (either institution or legal)?

I have an arrest on my record; should I disclose it here? I ran a certiphi background check, the one they offered after you submit your primary, and it is all clear.

Yes. They want you to disclose any arrests, cases where you were a suspect, traffic violations, etc.

Get used to it now. You're going to have to disclose such things when its time to fill out residency work paperwork (after match) and when you apply for licensing.

If its minor its not going to keep you out of med school. Lying about it on official forms can, however, keep you from getting licensed.

Put it down only if you are sure you want to get rejected.

You should disclose it. And no, you haven't had a background check, yet. You only have that if you are accepted or waitlisted at a school that participates in certiphi background checks. You'll receive an email about it.

You can run the certiphi background check on yourself, which is what the OP did (so did I last cycle).

Op, disclose the arrest and explain no conviction resulted from it. Better to be honest, and better safe than sorry.

You need to report it. In your essay, just mention what led to it, what you learned, and how you're changing yourself to ensure that you won't be an issue in medical school.
If you want help, PM me. I applied with a record (similar situation--erased after several years) and had over a dozen interviews. Not a big deal if everything else is solid and you don't have recent charges 🙂

Including 2 car accidents (both due to inclement weather) and I was not faulted for either and 1 recent speeding ticket I'm about to fight?

Well the car accidents aren't violations or cases that can be dismissed are they?

I'm just putting the info out there, because I was surprised that I had to put down a red light traffic ticket I got that was dismissed (eg paid the fine and did traffic school).
