Hello future/current DOs,

Am I right in thinking that you have to list contact info of a supervisor or club member who can verify you did this and that role for x years? I think I read that somewhere.. Just asking cause I'm a year out of school and if this is the case I'd need to start reaching out to old professors I TAed for way back when.

Thanks for your inputs!

AACOMAS does not go out and verify your ECs. You are correct in assuming that you would list someone who could verify your participation in the EC and verify the length of time/description is accurate. I believe it's just there to provide a means for a school to independently verify you EC if needed. Unless there's something seriously fishy about your EC, I doubt anyone would take the time to verify your ECs. I wouldn't worry about notifying your EC supervisors.

Trust me, if someone tries to BS their ECs you wount be able to talk about it in a coherent way. Itll show

This is true. I think that's when they step in and seal the deal.

I'm not trying to BS my ECs. I dont need to. Someone incorrectly told me that you had to have like a supervisor or someone in a leadership role verify that you had done something for them. I was simply asking if that was the case so I could start reaching out to people that fit that description, which is basically verbatim what I stated in my first post.

Anyway, glad that I don't need to do that and I appreciate the constructive response.
