They can take a while. I got my invite by E-Mail about 7 weeks after being complete.

oh great....so If I'm just complete now, 7 weeks before getting an invite would mean near the end Jan, which means the interview would have to be in a few weeks after that because the stop interviewing in mid feb.......I'm not liking Emory's style so much for august mcat'ers.....

Don't worry about a late interview date. It really shouldn't affect your chances for admission.

Like all med schools, Emory can get bogged down by applications at times. To be fair though, didn't August MCATers receive their scores quite a while ago now? A friend of mine who also took the August MCAT has already interviewed at Emory, so August MCATers are not necessarily all doomed to late interview dates.

is it realistic to say that if you are not accepted in the first two batches that you are eligible for then most likely you are on the waitlist or reject pile that will be sent out in late march?

Hard to say. On principle, the admin should re-review applications left-over from previous batches each time. Don't know if that is indeed the case each time with each application though.
