I am waiting for my "award letter" and I honestly have no clue how this works.
When do I request how much money I need?
When do I pick out what lenders I want to use?
Does anyone recommend private loans?

Your school will most likely tell you what you need to do. I personally avoid private loans and go for Grad Plus loans to supplement the Staffords, but that is just me. I assume that you filled out FAFSA if you are waiting for an award letter?
