How does Kaplan Q-bank compare to the actual USMLE questions?

Anybody who has takenstep I already know how Kaplan Qbank questions compare to the actual USMLE questions? Are they longer/ shorter/ easier/ harder? Thanks!🙂

From what I found, the biggest difference for me was in the depth of material covered in the subjects. Specifically, microbiology was ALOT harder on Kaplan than on the real thing. I think I may have had 2 virulence factor questions on the real thing (like easy ones too about exo and endotoxin), whereas Kaplan wants you to know about EF-2 and ADP ribosylation of Diptheria and Pseudomonas. The pathology was probably pretty similar on Kaplan and the real thing. Pharmacology was pretty representative too as I recall.

Thanks, that helps a lot! I have been freaking out about the micro questions (some stuff we never covered in our syllabus during 1st year).
