How does sending LORs on AAMCAS work?

If you submit six letters to AAMCAS, does it send all six letters to all of your schools? Or can you pick and choose which schools get which letters?

Also, are letters sent as part of the primary app, or do you send them separately later?

I'm using interfolio btw.
