How does the Fee Assistance Program work?

I just applied for FAP and I am applying in 2012. Was it too early to apply or can I redeem it in 2012? I just realized some schools are still accepting applications, so I hope they don't assume I want to use it for 2011. Does anyone know how FAP works? Will they put up credits on your AAMC account and you just use it when you want to?

I was wondering the same thing, but couldn't find any information about that on their website.
Try e-mailing or calling them, they were pretty quick with their response.
