Hello,

I am new here... just came across this site. I am a senior, and I plan to take the DAT sometime next year. I will be taking classes until this December (just decided I really want to become a dentist, so I need to take a couple more pre req's!)

I was wondering is the DAT something I can prepare for starting now? I have taken everything but orgo 2. A little bit each day??? so it doesn't feel as overwhelming later? Or is it better to just study for it the few months before I take it?

I am also trying my best to flip through some old threads, but I'm seeing that Destroyer and Kaplan books are good books to use?

Sorry to bother you guys!

For now,
focus on review all the bio material

just read Cliff AP BIo and may be alan's note

Ochem and Gen chem review can be done by Chad's video later and once you get the hang of the concept in chemistry, it is quick.

BIO in other hand...it is memorization
so for now, read bio book
and read a lot for RC.

Then when you actually studying for DAT (for like 2 month or so)
you can focus on Gen chem Ochem PAT and QR.

Bio is really big and random. studying it little bit now will help you and not overwhelms you when you are taking BIo practice test.

All depends on how much you understand. Start with some Kaplan and Destroyer questions. If you see you need to review many topics, then you would probably need a few months or so. If you are getting many correct, then only one month may be enough. See how you do. Good luck.
