I have a question. How early can I start my internship? As soon as I get accept to pharm school or while I'm in pharm school? I'm currently working at Kroger Pharmacy and my pharmacist agreed to let me do my intern there.

Hi co em, you can start your internship once you get your intern license. I think it depends on your state. In my state, students don't get their intern license until they finish their first year in professional program. Hope it helps.

Hey, I was thinking the same thing and there your post appeared in my RSS feed on my blog like magic *poof*

I have to wait on my application for the license 3 months before I start pharmacy school, so got one more month. I guess it depends on what state you are in huh?

Check with your particular states laws. Some states, like Colorado, allow you to get your license once you've been accepted to a pharmacy school.

Illinois does not have an intern license. However, you cannot be classified as a Student Pharmacist, and thus be elgible for internships, until you have actually started classes. The odd thing about that, is that one can call themselves the next higher year, once you receive all passing grades in your current year.
