How easy is CS?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This must be your 4th post about CS, so I think its safe to assume you are freaking out over it. I just got my passing score this week, but I was much like you before seeing that report. I was more worried about CS than I was CK, because I had never taken a test like that before.
Anyways, what I did to combat my worry while studying for the exam is just to study more. I knew I was overstudying, but that also meant that I would probably be doing better than the majority of people and with a 95%ish pass rate anyways, it gives you a pretty darn good chance of passing. So, that is my advise to you, is to channel your worry into studying for the thing, rather than just hope its easy.

What exactly did you use to "overstudy" ?

First Aid for Step 2 CS?
Usmleworld for Step 2 CS?
Kaplan Qbank for Step 2 CS?
Something else?
All of the above?

Congratulations on the passing score.
Out of curiosity, what city did you take it in?
(I'm obviously freaking out over this exam too).

Also got my passing score this week😀... Also freaked out majorly beforehand. :scared: I read First Aid thoroughly and practiced some of the scenarios with my roommate to get flow/organization/timing down pat. Felt really cruddy right after the test (realized how much I didn't get to, forgot to ask, etc.) but passed (yay!) Timing is the biggest thing, but overall my thought would be to try to address at least a little bit of everything (Hx, PE, and Assessment/Plan) and know how to handle the inevitable "challenge" question from the pt. without having it throw your game off. Oh, and slow deep cleansing breaths. Don't forget to breathe. Good luck!

seriously, don't freak. if you are a US med student and didnt fall asleep during 3rd yr you'll be fine. a few days to flip thru first aid is all you need, and maybe go over some of the patient cases with another person.don't be mean to any patients, be nice, look them in the eye, smile, and if one of them cries or seems depressed, ask them what's up. i highly suggest you type the note.

I signed up for CS too late and my school has a Nov 30 deadline. I had to look on that stupid website every single day to see if any spot anywhere was open.

On July 25th at 5 PM, I saw a slot open for July 27th within driving distance. I hadn't studied at all, but I signed up for it. I read that First Aid book for about a day. It was still pretty easy.

If you are not a complete jerk and know anything at all, you should pass.
