Just in case there are any other residents out there frantically studying for the Basic ABA exam coming up in a week who have finally resolved to figure out the black box that is OR electricity, vaporizers, pulse ox, etc --
I had the good fortune of being introduced to a website that explains these things simply and elegantly, and goes back to basics. It's been a few years since I learned about transformers and the like, and this really helped me. It's written by an anesthesiologist in the UK, and he does a great job of showing how these things work, specifically in the OR.
