I am completely lost here. not sure about anything.
So I know the basic fact that ribosomes are assembled in the nucleolus.
I read an old thread, but didn't get it.
So rRNA is first transcribed in the nucleolus then it goes into the cytoplasm where it is translated?
Then it goes back in the nucleolus to form the ribosomal subunit?
Then the two subunits enter the cytoplasm where they react with each other?
I also read that the rRNA combines with proteins to form ribosomes.
Thanks
