I know the data for AMGs is 80% match in top 3 in aggregate. Does this go down for people applying to more competitive places/specialties? Did some of you guys end up going further down your rank list?

Anecdotal evidence will be absolutely useless for you. Statistically, you said what it is. Yes, this goes down in regards to competitiveness.
