I'm going through FirstAid for the first time and while I'm making reasonably good progress in my opinion as far as the basic intro in each of the sections is concerned, but my progress is dead slow when it comes to parts where rote memorization is required (eg, tables and tables of drugs and associated facts). for instance, i'm stuck forever on the big table of immunosuppressants (drug-mechanism-other use-toxicity-notes). would watching USMLE-Rx express videos help? it's kind of hard to imagine if these tables and tables of facts are going to be covered in the videos at all and even if so, how are they going to explain these? hmm... if anyone has any experience with USMLE-Rx videos, would you be able to share your experience with the rest of us? thanks

Usmle-Rx videos are based on FA completely. They show text from FA and then read and explain. It's just a voice over FA text. In my opinion, it's a waste of time. I've tried it. It won't help with memorization process. If you want to memorize something use Anki or Cram. These apps both available for the smartphone. I had the same trouble with immunosuppressants and it took a good few days to remember them. I used white board and flashcards. I repeat them every day because some of them just don't stick with me. If you have some extra time watch a youtube video on memorization technics from Andrea Tooley. She is a ophthalmology resident in Mayo and she has some very helpful videos.

Thanks Olga! I thought about getting the USMLE-Rx triple package but it was too expensive, so I was wondering if the videos were any good.
I'll just start doing Anki.
