By intermediate inorganic I mean not Gen. Chem and not Adv. Inorganic Chem. the one right in the middle. Here is the course description from my school "Atomic/molecular structure with bonding principles; molecular shapes/symmetry; acids & bases; solid-state structures/properties and inorganic chemistry of hydrogen, boron and carbon".

It's definitely not an easy course, I just took a similar one last spring. We were allowed a notecard with notes written on it during the exams which helped... Definitely challenging, in much different ways than orgo.

In my school, inorganic chem is a easy A class because our professor gives a lot of bonus points, and the average is typically an 85 on tests. The textbook was slightly challenging, but doable.

You should probably talk to people at your school. There's always a lot of variation between schools, difficulty of exams, and also, the quality of teaching can have a big effect (bad teacher easily turns easy subject into a more difficult experience and great teacher can help you get through a tough subject).

I absolutely hated my inorganic class. Symmetry and character tables made zero sense to me. We had a terrible textbook and our professor was a brand new phd and had no teaching experience before us so it was a recipe for tough class. So yeah...it's going to be different at every school and with every professor.
