FYI, here's how I studied, and I did pretty good:
I used the book for everything except math. The math sections in the book are VERY basic, but still a good refresher. I studied GenChem and OrgChem using the online lessons, but some stuff wasn't very thorough, or just kind of hard, so I had to use the book a lot for those sections too. I read every section of Biology in the book, and then used the online sections as a review. Make sure if you buy the online program from me or Kaplan, to take advantage of all of the prqctice tests, section tests, subject tests, and quizes. I didn't the first time, hence why I had to reregister... I really didn't study Reading Comp at all, I mean how do you study that? So you're on you own for that. But the book and the online program both have practice RC tests and strategy sections.

Anyone who is studying for the OAT and searching on here for anything and everything you can use, I feel you. I was there only a couple of months ago, and not I'm having decide between PCO and SCO...Life's good. Anyhow, don't worry! If I can make it, anyone and I mean ANYONE can. My GPA was 3.23, majored in Biology with Molecular conc, didn't even know I wanted to do Optometry until the March before I graduated in May of last year, from UNCP, a very small school. My OAT the first time was: QR 290, RC 260 (I know!), Chem 290, Org Chem 290, Bio 330, Phy 330, TS 310 and AA 300. Second time, after only being able to study for two weeks once I baught the Kaplans OAT guide again, my scores were: QR 300, Bio 320, Phy 330, Chem 310, Org 300, RC 300, TS 310 and AA 310. Not much better but enough to get me into two schools! Oh, and by the way, the schools take the best of your scores, if they were both after the new OAT grading scale, so I technically have a 320. So do a good job studying and keep focused. You can do it! Oh and look for my ad in the for sale forum, I need to sale my old study stuff. I'm a poor college kid again.

i am having so much trouble finding the Kaplan study guide (the one with over 1000 pages)

i've already bought two books: the kaplan oat 2009-2010 edition, as well as the oat destroyer, both of which are not study guides! oat destroyer has NO refunds either..

EyeDocJoe, how did you manage to find the Kaplan study guide? Are you willing to sell yours? thanks so much
