The first semester is closing and it seems that I'll be passing, but probably getting about half Cs and half Bs. I'm inclined to say that this isn't really a big deal at all, as I've heard residencies look for Board scores and clinical performance. Needless to say, it looks like AOA is out of the question.

Is this true?

Feel free to direct me to a previous thread, if you want.

AOA is prolly out of the question, but who cares especially if you ace the step 1 exam.

clinical grades yr 3/4 plus step 1 is KEY. AOA is just a bonus, but not necessary. it's just a glorified honor society.

im not sure how your classes are graded.
anyway, i was told that 3rd year written evaluations are the most important, then PASSING the step 1 exam, then i guess lors and ec's. of course this varies depending on what specialty and institution you want.
good luck.

I heard Step 1 and Clinical Evaluations > Clinical grades>>>>>>>Preclinical grades

Survival is the name of the game M1 year! 2nd year stinks too but its better than 1st.
