How important are the secondary application essay?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering how much effort SDNers are putting into their secondary applications (Western, Midwestern and ASDOH). I feel like it's very repetitive of what was asked on the primary AADSAS Application. Also, I've noticed some schools dont have secondary applications, all they require is a check, am I missing something? Any input would help! thanks.

I think it depends on the school, but I know what you mean about the applications being similar. I would try to say a few different things (its a chance to be a little more personal), but don't ramble on (obviously) I know that UNC asks more specific questions that the primary doesn't cover, but depends on the school I suppose.
