How important is General Surgery

As new applicants look at integrated/combined programs, how much emphasis is placed on the following:
1) Is it truly integrated, so we rotate on plastics a few months each year from the begining?
2) Is it 3 years of bowel and general surgery?

Do you mean from the apps standpoint or from the programs selling standpoint? I remember Georgetown being a program that really sold the idea that you did a ton of plastics and very little G-surg, Yale too.
