How indicative is topscore?

For those who have taken the real dat, was topscore a close indicator of what you should expect? I know it may be different for everyone but whats the general consensus?

In most every case, people have scored lower on topscore than the real thing. About 2-3 lower on topscore I'd say.. but really, it's different for everyone.
