Hey everyone, I'm an M4 in an MSTP program and was wondering how the ongoing pandemic is affecting your decisions on programs. Last year we had 2 students that could have gone anywhere and they came to us because it was close to family/familiar city. In fact other applicants we had been in communication with picked programs close to family also. Just curios how much that is one peoples' minds this year.

As of right now, I have one acceptance for MD only (my state institution did have funding for new MD/PhD trainees because of COVID and budget cuts). I have interviews for MD/PhD programs coming in January. I really wonder if my interview timeline would have been different in a different year (non-covid). Looks like because of virtual interviews, most people are applying and interviewing at more programs than usual. The uncertainty appears to be elevated more than usual... not sure I'll even be in the position to select between different programs.

The current SDN MD/PhD acceptance thread has two people with multiple acceptances so far.
