How is Dental School GPA computed?

So, I am confused as to how dental schools and other health professional schools compute their GPA requirement. In the case of dental schools, do they compute your GPA by going with the pre-requisite (that is derived grades from each course) required for their schools, or do they compute your GPA by your overall undergrad degree GPA? I think I have confused myself.

AADSAS calculates 4 GPAs: BCP (Bio/Chem/Physics only), Science, Non-Science, and Total (Overall) and these 4 are calculated twice, once with +/-'s included and once without +/-'s.
