How is Drexel University Pre Med Undergraduate??? Do most of there applicants get into Med School??? My 1st choice is Pitt, but am looking at other schools in PA in case I'm not accepted into Pitt.
Drexel is a good school, and it has a Medical School affiliated with it. I will give you the same advice most SDNers have given me and countless others: Go where you will be the happiest, and stay debt free if possible.
Drexel is a good school where you will get a quality education. Philly offers many opportunities to get volunteer and clinical experiences. Thus, you can have great success coming from Drexel.
I was considering Drexel for undergrad and after visiting, it's definitely possible to be successful there. The co-op is really cool and there are nice possibilities for research. Philly is pretty sweet and there are so many options for EC's. The one major downside is that it is ridiculously expensive.
My main choice Is University of Pittsburgh, but in case I do not get accepted I will be keeping solid back up schools. Two backup schools I have is Duquesne University and Temple. Right now I reside closer to Pittsburgh area and Duquesne is closer to me. Temple is farther, but it has a med school nearby. Would I have any good opportunities for extracurriculars like research or volunteer at Duquesne despite it not having a medical school.
Well you can usually volunteer anywhere there is a hospital or clinic, and as far as research goes you should call and ask the university. Make sure to ask if it is available to freshman, sometimes it is only upperclassmen.
