Hi,

How do universities calculate last 60 hours of GPA? I will be applying summer 2015 for 2016 Fall admission. I still have one more yer of my Exericise Physiology classes to complete. So far I have all my Pre-reqs and some Major related classes. Can some one explain this?

Thanks.

I don't really understand the question. It's the GPA that you earned in the last 60 credits worth of classes that you took.

If your last 60 hours happens to intersect a semester, how do they choose which grades they take from that semester to be included in the last 60 hours? Would they end up just including all your grades from that semester and therefore the calculation is really last 62 or 64 (whatever it may be) hours, or what? I'm curious myself, because my last 60 hours ends up within a semester in which I have all A's and one B. I don't want them to count that B instead of one of the A's. Does this make sense?

^^^I would just call the programs you want to apply to and ask, they can give you more accurate information on how their program does it specifically. That will help you more than any generalities we can give you here.

Maybe someone who has done the last 60 hours thing in the past can chime in.

From the schools I spoke with that look at the last 60 hours, all the grades from the last semester will count, and it could be more that 60 hours.

I never had this issue myself, but this is kinda what I was assuming.
