How late can I apply to still be completed early? 2016-2017 cycle

I'm wondering what is the latest you can apply to still be considered "applying early/completed early?"

I'm definitely planning applying and being completed this summer, but wondering what would be the latest MCAT date I could take to still completed early?

id take the April MCAT if your ready for it..... but you should only take it when your ready, some people I know took it in August and are doing just fine

Submit primary with MCAT by end of June. You will be considered early then.

Take MCAT in April. You'll get your score in May in time when you can start sending primaries.

Schools won't be checking primary until around mid June if I remember correctly. So I believe a May 14 MCAT to be fine.

Remember if you are early then you are on time. If you are on time then you are late. If you are late then you shouldn't apply at all. Therefore, submit your primary on June 1st is on time.

It would still be considered an early app if everything was sent out by mid July (assuming the score comes in by July 18). If the primary application were to be complete by early August, I would not consider this early.

This also includes finishing the entire application by June also (primary, transcripts, etc.), then yes you will be early. You can also look at the interview threads to see the stats of people and their interview/verification times. The definition of early really differ with your stats.

I took the mcat July 27th and had multiple interviews by late September and had those acceptances by nov 1. What I did was submit June 1st to get verified and had my score catch up with it

I was told by several adcoms that having your application complete in mid July would be early in their review process. As that is when they actually begin sorting/reviewing. With August being on time and after that being late, as they've already sent their first and potentially second round of invites and have 4000 plus apps by end of Sept. The exception is for those schools that have a true early accpetance program and start in June. However, it varies by program. My application was submitted in June but complete mid July (June MCAT) and I was invited for multiple IIs and accepted. You can and should submit your app before your MCAT score if taking it June or later.
