How long are MCAT scores good for?

pretty long. 😛

I think it differs from school to school, generally between 2 and 5 years, with 3 years being pretty typical, i think. You can check the MSAR for the schools you're interested in to see what they want.

So if I were to take them this april and then do a 2 year MPH, I would need to retake for most schools before I could apply?

Only other thing to note is that the application cycle the year you take the exam (April or August) counts as year 1 for the above statements, NOT year 0.

P.S. I think Hopkins lets it be 10 years old, and as far as I know they're the only top-tier school to have such a lax regulation.

If I recall, Hopkins doesn't even require you to have taken the MCAT, or that requirement was just recently implimented. That may be why it's so lax. Of course, it's not like any applicant who's seriously competitive at Hopkins wouldn't have taken it anyway 😛 😛 😛
