How long are the RC passages generally?

I've been doing a few practice RC tests from Kaplan and it seems like the first passage is 15-16 paragraphs and the last two are only 10 paragraphs. People who have taken the DAT, could you please share your experiences with the length of each of the 3 passages? I always seem to run out of time while reading the 3rd passage.

there are some passages that are 16 paragraphs...but not many. I believe most range from 10-12 or so which isnt bad but i do agree that time is very limited at the end...try to find a strategy that works for you in this section

Approximately 1500 words. (I get this approximate because I know I skim at a rate of 500 words per minute, and I allot myself at most 3 minutes to skim the passages in the first go)
