You might want to make a mental note for any communications you may have with the school in the future that the name is Jefferson Medical College, not Jefferson University. Getting the name of the school wrong is not the way to make a good first impression.

well, technically it's not totally wrong... the full name is Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.

Jefferson medical college is part of Jefferson University. AND SO maybe it is YOU who should make sure that u know the name of the school!!!😎

It took them a pretty long time. Available 7/10, confirmed on 8/1 🙄

I called them yesterday, and Rita (admissions person that I talked to) said that they had my letters, so she went in and made my app. complete on the site. I think I submitted my secondary around July 3rd, but not sure

No, Jefferson Medical College is not part of "Jefferson University." There is no more a "Jefferson University" in Philadelphia than there is a "Hopkins University" in Baltimore.

Jefferson Medical College is part of a "Thomas Jefferson University", which is comprised of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Medical College, Jefferson College of Graduate Studies, and Jefferson College of Health Professions. No one ... and I repeat no one ... ever uses uses the the name "Jefferson University" or even "Thomas Jefferson University" in referring to application to or matriculation at any one of these schools. I work at Jefferson so excuse me if I presume to know a little more about the subject than you do.

Look, I was just trying to be helpful and prevent you from making what would be an embarrassing mistake in communicating with the school. But, I can see from the tenor of your response that you appear to be the typical anal pre-med who reacts negatively to even the mildest of constructive criticism. *Sigh*

Please ... feel free to refer to Jefferson Medical College as "Jefferson University" in each and every communication you have with this school during the application cycle. Good luck!

Seeing as though most people here don't go farther than referring to the school as "Jeff", it sounds like you have a minor sized stick up your ass.
