I'm nearly 2 months in and I'm still doing lots of tweaking of my study system, still adjusting to the workload, still trying different things out. I still don't have anywhere near as much free time as I would like or as much as I think my classmates have. Thankfully I'm passing everything.

How long did it take you guys to adjust?

Um, I'm still not "settled in" 😛 I'm 1/3 through 2nd year!

Here's the deal: Don't worry about what time everyone else has...they're telling you lies. Keep trying different things. When you find something that works, don't give it up, just add to it. Eventually, you'll find a good set of study habits that work to get you a passing grade, and depending on the amount of your nervous/OCD energy, A's 😍

I feel you. I put in a good 6 hours every day last block and feel like I didn't do that much better than the block before where I studied 3-4 hours a day (still got B's). I do think this last block was much harder, but I still feel like there is a more efficient way of doing things....

I don't know that there ever will be a routine. The schedule at my school is constantly changing and, depending on my prior exposure, the workload ranges from tons of spare time to zero spare time.

never settled into a routine... and i'm an intern now.

never did correct my messed up night owl sleep schedule either...

Almost 3 months into first year and yeah like the others -- still don't have it down!

I don't know if I have a routine but I found a system that works for me.

Thing is, there is always something that will break your system or routine. Also, what may work for one block may not work for another block, so the constant tweaking/experimenting I think is fine.

i was a bit more than half way through second year until i figured out how to study efficiently. too bad third year is a whole new ball game

I think this just goes to show the different level of mastery to get above 95's. You basically need to memorize tons of minutia.

I don't think studying to prepare for that is worthwhile, but if you have the talent then by all means.👍
