We tend to start 2 weeks after but our neurosurgeons are feeling uncomfortable with us starting so early. How long do you wait to start radiotherapy after resection of a GBM?
That's appropriate imo if the pt has not had resection but rather a biopsy. I think there is a jco article out there on the matter. If complete resection, I start at 4 weeks

For GBM, we start as soon as staples are out. It's always > 2 weeks after surgery anyway, since IMRT planning takes time.
For SRS to resection cavity, we wait 4 weeks to let cavity "mature" on MRI.
Is this the article? http://jco.ascopubs.org/content/27/5/733.full.pdf "Short Delay in Initiation of Radiotherapy May Not Affect Outcome of Patients With Glioblastoma: A Secondary Analysis From the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group Database" JCO. Feb 10 2009
