How long does it take to apply

I am taking the MCAT on september 7th and am wondering if I have time to apply while I am studying for the MCAT. Can someone please tell me about how long it takes to apply to DO schools? I already wrote a personal statement for MD schools which I can use for DO schools I heard.

The application process for DO school is similar to MD schools and will take equal time. You may use the same essay, but the character limit for DO schools is smaller. Submit your app as soon as possible and have your MCAT added later. Most primary applications for DO school are due between Jan and April, so you'll have plenty of time to make those deadlines with your MCAT date. I'd agree, but only to an extent... a similar concern of mine is taking the MCAT quite late... and though your application can be submitted without your MCAT, the admissions committees aren't going to look at your for interviews or for acceptance until they get your scores. In the meantime, they'll be taking other people who have their applications set. That being said, I'm assuming that you still have every intention of taking the September date, since it'd be pretty difficult to chop a month off of an MCAT study schedule.

Still, I just thought I'd let you know that if in case you weren't aware. I hope the rest of your application is solid! I hope this helped...🙂
