How long does it take to receive the scheduling permit from NBME?

Hello everyone,

I registered for USMLE and mailed the certification of ID and Authorization form to NBME last Thursday. How long do you think it takes for NBME to process my registration and send me the scheduling permit??

I hope it doesn't take too long since I want to make sure I can schedule for the date and location that I want.

I'd expect 4-6 weeks, maybe sooner though.

Mine took about 10 days but I mailed it out mid December which may have been before the rush. You can check on their website to see if they have processed your application yet. It will also tell you the date that your permit was mailed.
