How long does it take to verify the application?

Just wondering how long AACPMAS takes to verify applications.

From hitting the submit button last friday to the first school confirming they recieved the application (this morning) was 6 days. I was shocked. However before I even started filling out the application, I printed and sent the transcript requests. They were all there (8 of them) by the time I submitted. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! So it doesn't take 5 weeks to verify AFTER all materials have been received? Thats what it says on the website. just concerned because it seems like such a long time

Well, the site said it could take up to 5 weeks to calculate the GPA but they did it a DAY after they got my transcripts so I hope that helps.

When the cycle first opens up it can take up to 5 weeks. Mine took about that long, but I applied on the first day it opened up for the new year.

Now that its later into the cycle and the offices are not flooded with apps it shouldnt take more than a week.

I wasn't sure If I should start a new topic but it relates to this one. Does anyone know when the Application is actually sent to the schools after the GPA and transcripts are verified? Will there be a mailing date next to each school in the Programs section? Because I already received an invitation for an Interview and they just updated my GPA yesterday. Seems kind of quick, plus there is no mailing date next to the designated programs.

Sorry, I'm kind of impatient and excited at the same time.

its possible to interview before the mcat but it is highly unlikely to accept or deny before the mcat score is known.

- According to the new rules of aacpm, it is against the established rules of conduct for any school to make a final decision on an applicant (accept/deny) until an MCAT score is known.
- However, it is possible for a school to interview before the MCAT score is released.

For me it was ~ 2 weeks.

However, that could be because it was around the holidays.

Applied to 5. So far have 4 interviews.

This is without a MCAT score (taking Jan 29th) so that could be the reason I did not get 5 interviews.

So my GPA was calculated yesterday but I have not received an email from AACPMAS regarding it being verified. How long does that usually take and will they mail out the applications shortly after?

Probably gonna be in the beginning of August of 2011. (this past year it was august 2, 2010 for the class starting in 2011)
