i interviewed in jan and like 2 weeks later i got an email said that the board looked at my app (feb 1) and they would get back to me with a decision, but havent heard a word yet...is that bad news?

I really wouldn't worry if I was you. You still have plenty of time until the August class starts and so just relax. If I can remember correctly, the committee meets once a month or twice a month, and then more frequently as the time before the next class shortens. So if they looked at your application on Feb. 1, they could be meeting again to see who out of that batch they liked and want to keep. So, again, relax and try to enjoy you time before med school. I know it's hard to have no feedback and no knowing if you're in or not, just hang in there.

I had my interview back in November and they still haven't gotten around to me, but I just want that letter so I could turn them down for making me wait this long.
