Is AADSAS painfully slow to process letters of rec? I asked recommenders to write my LOR's 5+ weeks ago and believe they were all sent promptly along with the matching forms. Yet the AADSAS website still shows all my letters as "pending," not received. Is this typical lag time or should I be hassling my profs to see if they remembered to write the letters? All other parts of my app are complete/verified and have been for weeks (though not yet sent out to schools apparently)

More likely then not your letters are not sent/have yet to be written. I'm having the same problem, and I'd suggest giving your professors a call.

As far as AADSAS, why should they make improvements? They have a captive audience. It's not like any of us are going to say "Screw dental school, these AADSAS guys take too long."

My experience with LORs is that AADSAS is actually pretty quick about updating the status to "received" once they actually receive your letters. So I'm thinking they haven't gotten it yet. If you're worried, you can call them, and they'll let you know if they've gotten your letters.

It may be the peak time for AADSAS to receive stuff as well. I had 2 LORs sent at the beginning of June (like June 1st) and they were "received" June 6th. If they haven't already written them, sometimes evaluators take around 2 weeks just to do that alone--similar experience there.

Call AADSAS if you become increasingly worried. They're very nice people. I have called a few times just to clarify little things. That's your best bet. Oh, and obviously email/call your evaluators as well. Best of luck!!

I dont think it's addsas..i think its your professors.. because i gave the matching forms to all my professors on like june 28... and there all recieved on aadsas as of july 5th
