how long from submission to response

I see some of you guys receive calls and emails from the programs next day after submission. Is that common? Anyone could comment how long in average it takes from the time of applying to programs till you hear anything from them?

Its totally random..I applied on the 1st, and a couple of programs didnt even download my application until a few days ago..i got my first invite 10 days later and my 2nd yesterday..so i dont think theres any pattern..but i think end of sept to october would be when u could generally expect the most programs to send out their invitations..
