Hi everyone;
I have finished my personal statement, but I have different lengths of characters. My best copy is 3850 character. Is it ok? or should it be closer to 4500?
Good luck

quality > quantity

if you answered the prompt with a well thought out answer and supported it with examples, length shouldnt matter.

Agreed, longer does not mean better. In some cases, it can make for a weak STATEMENT(not autobiography) if its filled with redundancy and ramblings. Basically, make your points, convey the message that your trying to get across without a lot of fluff. You want the adcom to read the whole thing and not get bored. However, dont leave out something you feel is important to your overall idea for sake of length. You do want them to have an idea of who you are. Just my thoughts.

I totally agree with the other two posters who responded to your thread. The personal statement is all about word economy and conveying your professional goals succintly. Don't worry about not meeting the maximum word count, you'll be just fine!

650 characters is about two to three paragraphs. You have space to elaborate more on your story, but don't add filler. Though quality > quantity, quality + quantity > quality alone.😉
