I'm a non-traditional whose only exposure to Biology in last 15 years has been General Bio 1 and 2. I haven't taken Biochemistry I/II, Genetics, Molecular Bio, etc. I don't plan on taking MCAT until I take these classes however I have been trying to focus on Biology over the last year and while I have a decent comprehension of passages, there is a lot I still struggle with. I was majoring in Chemistry but recently changed over to Biochem bc I felt it would greatly assist my MCAT and med school preparation. I also struggle with interpretation of Bio/Biochem graphs and tables. How long did it take some of you to get a decent grasp on the Bio/Biochem material ?

Took me one semester of an upper level biochem course. I can't imagine trying to teach myself all that info.

Watch Khan videos (be warned one of their enzyme kinetics videos are incorrect, not sure if they changed it) as your base for Biochem review. EK with Khan are probably sufficient if you plan on taking the classes. For specific questions I usually end up googling things. lol

For the graph interpretation, you need to keep practicing passages. Some here advocate studying actual research papers but Imo this is too low yield
