Ok this one has been bugging me for a long time. This question was posted here previously and answered with a decent explanation... in fact a very long time ago, but I want to ask again... here is the question
Thomas has two CD's and two tapes. In how many arrangements can he play the CD's and tapes one after the other such that each is played exactly once and one CD is not played immediately before or after the other?
can you just do 4P2? because you know that the CD and T has to be in a certain order anyway..
here is the original thread http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/kaplan-math-question.539390/
i just want to avoid drawing out things for the QR section (with the exception of geometry)
thanks for ur help
