In private practice? In hospital settings? And what is the difference in pay between the lower and higher ends of the spectrum? If someone could point me towards a good statistical link on the matter (which has been surprisingly hard to find) that would also be greatly appreciated.

This is the best link that I've been able to find, and it doesn't seem too 'official' -http://www.medfriends.org/specialty_hours_worked.htm

...Based on my research, it seems like one of the benefits of psychiatry, relative to other medical fields (similar to non-emergency surgery), is that there is little 'on-call' time, that their schedule is more 'regular', and also that a practicioner (in private practice) can work as little as three to four days a week...if he decides that a more leisure time is preferable to a higher salary. Is this at all true?
