How many hours?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i am glad you asked, because I really don't want to take this again, but I can't study more than 6-7 hr a day.. at the max.. when are you taking yours?

Im planning on taking first week in september. I'm gonna try to get 5-6 hours a day in in the next few weeks and then the last few weeks like 8 hours, because i think anymore would make my head explode. I'm hoping it will be enough. I;m suppose to be studying right now (have all my books out), but im on SDN instead lol

I am doing like 6 hours, but 2 hours wasted from not concentrating.
Should I up the caffeine?

i would, but you wouldn't want to get too jittery. I think I lost like 10lbs over the past month trying to study for this test.

im going on 23.5 hours of studying per day. I take a quick power nap on the toilet which kills two birds with one stone 🙂

I didn't exaclty get 20s but I studied about 4-5 hours with losing about 30 minutes or an hour to lack of concentration.

for the past couple of days, i have been staying up till 5am studying. i hope that reflects on the day i take my exam.

I studied a couple hours a night during April while taking a full course load. I just reviewed all the basics and tried to get a general yet thorough understanding of all the subjects. I used Kaplan Blue Book, DAT Destroyer, and my old Cell Bio, Immunology and Human Phys notes. Once May 5th came around and my finals were over, I studied for atleast 10 hours a day up until my test ( June 6th). The last month I took nothing but practice tests and did as many multiple choice questions in every area. I tried to use as many sources as I could get my hands on. I also took 1-3 PA tests per week during this time. I felt that for the PA it was all about doing practice problems. My scores are located on the link under my name.

Hey, just curious about all you guys that are getting 20's. How many hours a day of studying did you put in? Thanks to all 😍

Keep in mind the amount of studying really depends on the person. Some people really learn the material during their courses and remember most of the material so only need a few weeks of refreshing. Others might study 8 hours a day for 3 months and still struggle. The point is, you need to study as long as it takes for you to feel comfortable with the material. Take some practice tests to gauge where you are at and see where you need to focus more.

Anyway, to answer your question, I studied for like 3 months for an average 2 or 3 hours a night, but then increased that to more like 4 to 8 hours a day over the last 2 to 3 weeks. I scored 22AA and 22PAT.

Good luck!

I studied for I dont know a good while every day...I took tonsssss of breaks. I watched at least a movie a day. If not two movies a day. I would go to sleep at 2:30 or 3 wake up at 12-1, studying and eating and watching movies throughout the day. By movies I do not mean educational movies...And checking SDN took up at least an hour or more a day.

So basically 6 hrs is required at the minimum right? whose that person studyign 23.5 hr needs to stop scaring others..haha.. but yea 2 weeks before the exam i think i will end up putting 10-12 hrs too.

The last 4 weeks before the exam, 13 hours a day. up at 8:00 am bed by 12:00 am, 20 mins per meal.
