There are an exhaustive number of sources for studying images, yet there is no concrete information as to how many one should study to feel confident about the exam. Could someone please give an approximate figure?

There are a fair number of questions that I've seen in UWorld and NBMEs where they gave you a pathology pic and you had to pick a diagnosis without any other clue in the question stem.

With that being said, the pics I've encountered so far are pretty unique in that once you see it and know what it is, you won't have a problem with it later.

Just remember that this ain't a pathology boards exam! I think reviewing more than 200 would be an overkill.

I had several questions in my Step 1 exam where the image was critical, and the images tended to be stuff that WASN'T provided in the FA high-yield images section. If you have time, make your way through Web Path.

But so for webpath cardio and CNS alone already cover more than 200 images. Any strategy there?

I still think images are lower priority. If you have the time, skim through and learn stuff you feel is important based on its prevalence in Uworld and FA.
