Considering the applicant has average interview skills. He's gotten full time jobs and internships from interviews

Nothing is guaranteed, especially this late in the cycle. Your stats are more important than your performance on the interview. I wouldn't worry about it, unless you were a douche at the interview, which I'm sure you weren't (or whoever this applicant is).

No guarantees, that would be silly. Assuming the stats are decent (according to your previous posts they are slightly above average), unless you represent yourself poorly in the interview you've got a good shot.
