How many interviews would you need to feel "safe" about being accepted into dental school? I don't think I would feel safe until I got accepted, haha.

It also depends on the interviews you get as some schools interview way more than there are spots available while others interview and accept on a same ratio. To feel absolutely safe, I would want 7 pre-Dec 1st interviews.

However, I do feel "content" but not "safe" with my three pre-Dec1st interviews, primarily because of the UoP one.

i would consider you safe with a UoP interview

if you can interview over 50% of the schools you apply for i'd say you're pretty well off.

You never know what's gonna happen...
Last year I had a friend who's got only one interview with Marquette & he got in there...
But another friend of mine got 9 interviews out of 17 schools that he applied, but unfortunately he did not get in anywhere...
I don't think he has serious communication problem or anything, he is well rounded person as far as i know...
I know it's kinda extreme case but never safe enough I think...
Just cross fingers & pray that this is not my case...

I got interview at the three schools that I applied to, but I won't feel safe until I get in. In my book, interviews mean nothing except that they liked what they saw on paper. They have to like what they see in person too.

Sigh this thread makes me so anxious. I applied last year and had decent stats and had two interviews at both in state schools, no acceptances. This year I applied to more schools, already have a good amount of interviews, and increased my dat score. I just dont wanna be that guy who gets all the interviews and no acceptances. Ill be on my toes until i get an acceptance. Def can not wait till Dec 1st.
