How many out there did not get to finish residency--what are you doing now?

I am sure there are plenty of you since around 200+ each year are ousted from their residency spot for one reason or another.

What are you doing with your life now? Did anyone get back into residency again? was it easy or difficult? same specialty or different?

I got back in. From pathology to medicine. Was somewhat difficult, but had the support of my previous PD.
 
I know many who did not complete residency. Almost all of them are now working in a non-clinical setting. Most have successful careers, some are busy parenting young children, and others are working part-time. There are many non-clinical options for those who graduate and don't complete residency. The clinical options are becoming more difficult since major payers want to see that you've finished residency.
