okay if this is floating around here somehwere, I couldnt' find it so if you know where it is, please send me the link. I am wondering how many programs people usually apply to? what is too many?
There is no too many if you are willing to pay a lot of $$$ and visit a lot of places and have the time. Most people apply to maybe 10-20, but a lot will apply to more. It depends on what kinds of programs you are applying to and how many interviews you would anticipate going on. You can always apply to a bunch and turn down interviews if you start getting a lot of them.
don't skimp when it comes down to checking off programs on your initial ERAS application. it's just like the AMCAS where like each program will cost you like a pint of crappy domestic beer.
start being selective and picky when you've accumulated interview invites.
