Hi everyone. I'm from Texas and am applying to the three Texas schools through TMDSAS. Taking advantage of my state residency seems ideal, but I also want to apply out of state. Applying out of state through AADSAS is expensive though! $195 + $60 per additional school, wow. It only cost me $75 total through TMDSAS to apply to all 3 Texas schools. Anyhow, how many schools do most people apply to?

Howdy! 😉 From what i can gather on this site, most people apply to anywhere between 10-12 schools. With your high science and overall GPA, you should have a chance pretty much everywhere provided you do well on the DAT. There are the notoriously 'easy' schools to get into like NYU, but you can always check out links to the schools from the adea website to get a better idea of their ideal candidate.

assuming your DATs are 20+, and you don't mumble and stutter at your interviews, you'll get in everywhere.

And any recommendations of schools I should consider if I do decide to apply out of state?

By the way:
Overall GPA: 3.71
Science GPA: 3.95
Dat: taking August 20th

As for my interview skills, I think I will hold up well and am pretty strong in that area.
