that looks like a good list w/ your stats--good variety of schools. i wouldn't add any more....the guys applying to 15 schools either have crappy stats or good stats but are not confident (like chuck norris). let them be...

If you're not confident or can afford to apply to more it won't hurt. Your stats are good so I wouldnt worry.

Nine dental schools is a good number.

Never make the stupid mistake like me and apply to 18 schools.

If you apply to many (meaning 12+ dental schools), that means you're not confident in your application.

Had I known this advice given to me by an adcom at a dental school, I wouldn't have done this stupid mistake.

Are you saying that the adcoms know which schools I am applying ? Can they see to which schools the AADSAS is sending my application while they evaluate the application?

Thats something I never knew.... if they do this kinda thing. what should I say in the interviews???

They ask... why would you choose this school over whatever school..? blabla..

well..
Somebody answer my question please.

I highly doubt dental school is one of those things where "You have to not want it to get it," like you're suggesting.

If this guy expands his application to 13 schools, noone will think twice, and if someone with good stats applies to 20, I'm sure they should be worried about ending up with more interviews then they can handle, not less.

I only applied to schools that I really wanted to go to...my list was at 7, but I dropped UPenn and Maryland. If you're not sure you are going to get in anywhere, I'd say go for at least 7 or 8 schools, but don't waste money on the application and interview if you couldn't see yourself ending up at a certain school.
