Just curious how many schools ppl will be applying to. And for those who got in: any advice on applying wisely?

personally, i think 10 is enough. apply to a few reach schools, a few schools u think u can get into and a few backup schools...u never know in this process (unless you have a 4.0/4.0gpa and 23+ DAT and are a people's person). but i think one important thing is to find out if a school accepts mostly in-state residents like colorado, or u of washington, or even loma linda (they accept a lot of Seventh Day Adventists). Depending on your stats, you probably shouldn't apply to those schools unless your a resident (Loma Linda is kind of an exception, but you have to get a rec letter from a religious leader).

well, colorado is changing their restriction on residents.
so you may ask them in detail.

I will apply to all of ur state schools. Then look through the ADEA book about dental sch. they give u stats on how many out-of-state people they accept and other stats. And make ur decision accordingly. remember everyone just need to go to 1 place. it doesnt matter if u get accepted to 50 out of 50 schools u applied to. u could only attend one sch. I traveled last summer and visited many school in the east coast. there are some schools that i probably wont go even if i get accepted, so you might as well not consider them. The more info u could give us, the more we could narrow down ur choice. Or give us a list of sch that u r interested and we will give u feedbacks.
